Pingboard is powered by your organization’s data, so our first critical setup step is making sure you have all the information you need and an easy way to get it into your account. There are several ways you can add your data to Pingboard.
For example, connect Pingboard to an existing tool your organization already uses with an ongoing data sync. Head to the Sync and Import page under the Admin menu, and select the application you want to connect from the Ongoing Data Syncs list.
- ADP
- BambooHR
- Google Workspace
- JustWorks
- Microsoft
- Namely
- Okta
- Paylocity
- Rippling
- Sage HR
- UKG Pro
- Workday
Or, you can import a spreadsheet of information directly to your Pingboard account. These are especially useful when you need extra flexibility to update your Custom Fields. You’ll find this option by selecting “Import Employee Data” on the Sync and Import page.
If your account type allows access, you can also create custom integrations between Pingboard and other tools using Pingboard’s open API.
And whatever integration you choose, you can always use our bulk photo import tool to make sure everyone has a face to their name. From the Sync and Import page, select Import Photos. From there, you can upload an entire batch of images and match them to profiles in your account.
If you don’t see the application you use in our list of standard integrations, importing a CSV of your data is likely the best option for you.
However you import your data, you’ll want to choose whether you want the data you’re importing to overwrite data in Pingboard with what’s being imported, or whether employees should be allowed to make changes to the data in their profiles themselves. If you’re not confident in the accuracy of your existing data, letting users edit and fill in gaps early on is a great way to clean up stale data.
If you want to prevent users from updating profile fields themselves, you can update each field’s view and edit permissions individually.
Certain Pingboard plans also include support for mapping additional fields from integrations. Our Customer Experience team can help you with those. If you’re interested in setting up custom mappings or you run into any other questions during your setup, please reach out to our team. We’re always happy to help!
