Why Can't I Sign In to Pingboard with Google (Error 400)?

On November 4th, 2019, Google made security changes to their API (the service that lets us authenticate employees based on their Google login details). As a result, some employees might see the error in the screenshot above and find themselves unable to sign in to Pingboard by clicking the "Sign in with Google" button.

If you see the error above and find yourself unable to sign in using the "Sign in with Google" button, contact one of your Pingboard Admins and let them know. Someone with admin access to your Google Apps account will need to make sure that Pingboard is a trusted application in your Google Workspace domain to resolve the issue.

If you're a Google Workspace Admin, this guide from Google will walk you through the process to make Pingboard a trusted app.
