Ready to build your best Org Chart ever?
When you first open your Org Chart in Pingboard, we give you a few options: view an example chart to see what things will look like, start building manually, or import data you already have to automatically construct your chart.
Pingboard's manual construction tools help you build your Org Chart with speed, but the fastest option is to import information you already have.
Import via Sync
If you're already using another service like Google Apps, Okta, or Active Directory to store employee data, Pingboard can sync with any of those services to automatically create profiles for everyone in your company, build your Org Chart, and keep everything up-to-date as you make changes in those tools.
Choose a service below to get step-by-step instructions for setting up your sync:
Import a CSV
If you need to get started without syncing, you can import a CSV file instead by using the CSV Import options on the Sync & Import page (under the Admin menu).
Sync & Import options are always available, so you can continue to update your data with new CSV files as your company grows and changes. Self-Serve Org Chart imports, available for Free accounts, are limited to Names, Emails, Titles, and Managers.
Full-Serve imports are available for any paid plans so that you can import any information you want to your employee profiles (including Start Dates, Birthdays, Skills, etc.)

Maybe you don't have an HR system or cloud-based service – that's fine, too!
To get started, choose Start Building on that initial Org Chart page and start by adding the person who belongs at the very top of your Org Chart.
Once they're at the top, add people below them by clicking the Add (+) button and choosing the right option for the kind of reports you need to add. In most situations, you'll start by adding Roles one by one, then adding Departments and Dotted Lines once the main Org Chart has already been built. If you make a mistake, you can always click Edit on a person's card to make changes.
