Your Org Chart is built and your account is taking shape, so now it's time to take a few steps to make sure you're capturing all the information you need in your employee profiles. If you're planning on inviting the rest of your team, we want to make sure they'll feel at home here, too.
Add Custom Fields
Custom Fields in Pingboard are the building-blocks of your Employee Profiles and help you get your company's information into one place instead of multiple spreadsheets.
To create Custom Fields:
- Head to the Custom Fields page under the Admin menu and click Add Custom Field at the top of the page.
- Choose a Type.
- Add a Title.
- Use the Placeholder field to include placeholder data to show your users what you're looking for.
- Use the Instructions field to include instructions for your users.
Any Custom Fields you create are searchable in Pingboard and available in the mobile apps and Reports. You can also display Custom Fields on cards in the Directory and Org Chart.
If you already have data for some of your Custom Fields in other systems, you can import data for those Custom Fields later.
There are no rules for what fields you should or shouldn't create, but some examples are job-specific data (certifications, employment type), personal details (like food allergies, shirt sizes, and emergency contacts), and fields that will help coworkers get to know each other better (favorite restaurant, first concert, pet’s names).

Add a Logo
Make employees feel at home by adding your Logo to Pingboard on the Settings page (Admin > Settings). Your company's logo will be proudly displayed on your account's homepage.
If your company calls Groups “Squads” and Locations “Offices” we have customizations for those special terms. The Settings page in Pingboard lets you change the terms for Groups, Locations, and Employees, and your changes are reflected throughout Pingboard and the mobile apps.
