Add or Change your Status in Pingboard

The Status Add-On for Pingboard makes it easy to update your coworkers whenever you're going to be away from your desk, available, or any other important status update you need to share.

  1. Select the Status button from the top menu in your Pingboard account.
  2. Select Add a Status.
  3. Select a status type from the drop-down menu.
  4. Fill out details about the event that you want to share (optional).
  5. Select a date or date range (all statuses will be all-day by default, but you can enter specific start and end time by un-checking the All Day box).
  6. Select Save.

Admins are able to create statuses for both themselves and other users, and managers can add statuses for anyone who reports to them on the Live Org Chart. Adding a status for someone else is just like adding one for yourself – start by selecting the Add a Status button on the Status page.

  1. Select a status type from the drop-down menu.
  2. Use the "Who is this status for?" menu to type in the name of the person you're creating a status for and select them.
  3. Fill in the rest of the status details, then select Save
Tip If you're adding a status from the Mobile App, you have a few quick options you can choose from as well:
  • This Morning will create a status from 6 AM to 12 PM local time
  • This Afternoon will create a status from 12 PM to 6 PM local time
  • All DayToday or All Day Tomorrow will create an all-day status (6 AM to 6 PM local time)
Note All statuses entered by employees must take place in the present or future. Only Admins are able to create and edit statuses with end-dates in the past.
