Add Instructions to Custom Fields to Help Employees Add the Right Data

The best way to give employees instructions on how to fill out fields is to include placeholder info and instructions in your fields. Anything you enter in the Instructions field will appear just below the field you’re creating, letting your coworkers know how to fill it out. Fill out the Placeholder field to include placeholder data and give employees an idea of the type of information that belongs in your Custom Field.

Admins can edit any field from the Custom Fields page (click Account > Custom Fields). Select any field to start editing.
