What is the Teams Matrix?
The Teams Matrix is an Org Chart setting in Pingboard which allows you to visualize the cross-functional team structure of your organization.
Unlike a traditional Org Chart view, which shows hierarchical company structure, the Teams Matrix shows how different teams operate across departments. If an employee is on multiple teams in your organization, you will be able to see all of the teams on which they sit in one view.
To see a view of the Teams Matrix in your Org Chart, you must first enable the Teams setting in your account by going to Account > Account Settings in your left-hand menu.
Note: If you don’t see the option to enable the Teams Matrix, this means that you are on a legacy subscription plan and will need to contact Customer Support to update your account.
How do I find the Teams Matrix?
- Navigate to Org Chart in your left hand menu.
- Click into the drop down menu in the top panel of the Org Chart page and select Teams Matrix.
How do I customize the Teams Matrix?
The customization options that apply to the traditional Org Chart in Pingboard apply to the Teams Matrix as well. You can:
- Change or add up to four extra fields on each Card
- Highlight important information by color coding Fields
- Choose to show or not show employee photos on each Card
How do I search in the Teams Matrix?
To find an employee in the Teams Matrix view, type their name into the Search bar at the top of your screen. If an employee is on multiple teams, you will see all of the teams to which they belong, as well as their department.
